What is Juneteenth?
Juneteenth celebrates June 19, 1865, the day the last enslaved Black Americans in Texas learned they were free, more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation. It’s a powerful day of reflection and celebration.

Juneteenth reminds us of the strength, resilience, and ongoing journey toward justice in the Black community.

One meaningful way to celebrate is by supporting Black-led spaces like The Playful Stage. Your support helps us uplift Black voices and create joyful, inclusive spaces through improv.
